CIAAG Executive Director, Lauren Deluca, participated in the Civil Society Consultation on the implementation of the UNODC's 2021 - 2025 Synthetic Drug Policy.

November 3, 2022

Issued the Press Release: "CIAAG Effects International Policy Guidance with UNODC" issued." CIAAG Founder, Lauren Deluca, served as a Subject Matter Expert and provided recommendations regarding the use of Public-Private-Partnerships within nations. The UNODC issued a "Digital Roadmap" based on these meetings which included a number of CIAAG's recommendations, including but not limited to, the need to "regulate the evidence-base." This is the first document of it's kind and sets a roadmap for countries seeking to engage Public-Private-Partnerships programs within their country. CIAAG is honored to serve on this committee and provide a voice for the citizens in which these policies ultimately impact.

CIAAG Founder, Lauren Deluca, addressed the United Nations at the 6th Intersessional Meeting of the 62nd United Nations Commission of Narcotic Drugs in Vienna, Austria.  CIAAG highlighted the need for balance in the US strategy on combating the illicit drug crisis; focusing on how the regulatory approach  to combat the crisis is negatively impacting patient care and public health/safety.
